Our editorial processes are guided by internationally recognized best practices, including the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring transparency, accountability, and scientific rigor at every stage of the journals’ workflow.

Our editorial policies are aligned with international best practices in scholarly publishing and are designed to ensure the reliability, credibility, and scientific value of all published research.

Verduci Ethics Board

To support the established publishing standards, Verduci International has established a structured ethics oversight system, led by an Ethics Manager and supported by a Scientific Ethics Board, to ensure that all manuscripts and published content meet the highest ethical and scientific requirements.

The Ethics Manager oversees all ethical aspects of the editorial process, ensuring adherence to established editorial policies and international publication ethics guidelines. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial ethical screening to identify potential concerns, including plagiarism, image manipulation or duplication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and authorship issues. This process supports the integrity and transparency of peer review and ensures that submissions meet the required ethical standards before entering editorial evaluation.

Verduci International continuously develops and updates its editorial policies to address key ethical aspects of scientific publishing, including authorship criteria, conflicts of interest, data integrity, and research transparency.

When ethical concerns arise during the editorial or peer review process, complex or sensitive cases are referred to a Scientific Ethics Board. This Board is composed of expert scholars selected from among the journals’ Editorial Boards, tipically including an Editor-in-Chief, an Associate Editor, and a Statistician, together with an independent external member appointed for a fixed term. It provides an additional level of oversight, ensuring that all decisions are consistent, well-documented, and aligned with international standards of publication ethics.

Verduci International also actively monitors emerging challenges in scholarly publishing, including issues related to generative artificial intelligence, paper mills, and evolving authorship practices, ensuring continuous improvement of editorial workflows and ethical policies.
